Ohio Truck Sales, a leading nationwide dealer specializing in pre-owned semi-trucks and heavy equipment, is seeking a Senior Recruiter to join our growing HR team. As we continue to expand, we need an experienced recruiting professional who thrives on the hunt - someone who knows how to find, engage, and close top talent even if they aren’t actively looking. This role goes beyond job postings. You’ll be responsible for building pipelines, headhunting, and securing the best talent in the trucking and heavy equipment industry to fuel our growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven success as a recruiter, ideally with experience in headhunting passive candidates.
  • Strong command of sourcing strategies, Boolean search, cold outreach, and recruiting technology.
  • Ability to balance multiple requisitions with urgency and precision.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • High level of persistence, resilience, and self-motivation.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with executives and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and role requirements.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for key positions including truck purchasing, reconditioning, finance, sales, parts specialists, and other dealership roles.
  • Proactively headhunt candidates using advanced sourcing methods - including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume Search, cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry-specific platforms.
  • Use creative Boolean searches, database mining, and competitive talent mapping to identify and track high-performing individuals.
  • Cold message and engage passive candidates, effectively pitching opportunities at Ohio Truck Sales.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals to create a long-term pipeline of candidates.
  • Screen candidates for skills, track record, and cultural fit before presenting to hiring managers.
  • Manage interview processes, candidate communications, and offer negotiations.
  • Provide detailed candidate profiles and insights, ensuring only top-tier talent is advanced.
  • Track recruiting metrics, candidate pipelines, and sourcing activity for reporting to leadership.
  • Continuously improve recruiting processes and employer branding to stay competitive in attracting top talent
