Responsibilities

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Astronomer is hiring a Senior Recruiter, GTM as our first recruiting team member based in the UK. While the title emphasizes Go-To-Market hiring, this role will support recruitment across a broad range of functions—including technical, operational, and customer-facing roles. You’ll play a key role in scaling Astronomer’s team globally by driving full-cycle recruiting, developing strong partnerships with hiring managers, and building processes that reflect our mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Own end-to-end recruiting for GTM, technical, and other key roles—ranging from Sales and Marketing to Customer Engineering and beyond.
  • Strategic Partnership: Work closely with hiring managers and senior leaders across the company to understand hiring needs, shape job requirements, and craft effective, inclusive hiring strategies.
  • Sourcing Strategies & Market Insights: Leverage creative and data-informed sourcing techniques to attract top talent across various disciplines. Provide insights on talent markets, compensation, and competitive landscape.
  • Process Creation & Improvement: Build and iterate on scalable, efficient recruiting processes that deliver consistency and an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Candidate Experience: Deliver an engaging and thoughtful experience to every candidate from first outreach through close.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Integrate DEI best practices into every stage of the hiring process to help build a high-performing, inclusive team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong foundation in GTM hiring and exposure to technical and cross-functional roles.
  • Deep understanding of GTM teams and how to identify, engage, and assess talent in these areas.
  • Experience supporting hiring across various business units, not limited to GTM.
  • Proven ability to design and refine recruitment processes that scale.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Success in managing senior-level and hard-to-fill searches.
