Your mission Location: Berlin, Germany (Hybrid) Duration: 3-6 Months Contract Level: Senior / Expert Freelance We are seeking an experienced temporary Senior Recruiter to join us for a high-impact 3-6 month contract. This critical, hands-on role is focused on driving our rapid scaling efforts. We need a proven talent acquisition expert who has specifically helped startups transition into scale-ups, bringing immediate market intelligence and a track record of hiring pivotal growth-focused roles. This is a project-based role requiring independent management of the recruitment lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Scale-Up Recruitment: Independently manage the full recruitment lifecycle for a variety of roles critical to our growth, focusing on volume and quality to support our transition from startup to scale-up. Direct Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage high-caliber passive candidates using headhunting, networking, and expert sourcing techniques. Strategic Partner: Quickly collaborate with hiring managers to understand critical business needs and implement immediate, tailored recruitment strategies for accelerated growth. Market Intelligence: Provide up-to-date market trends and competitor intelligence to ensure our short-term hiring strategies are competitive and effective. Candidate Experience: Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring an outstanding and professional experience that reflects our company values, even within an accelerated process. ATS Management: Efficiently utilize our applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage a high volume of candidates and ensure a data-driven process. Your profile Minimum 5 years of hands-on recruiting experience, with a proven focus on helping startups transition to scale-up environments through strategic hiring. Extensive experience working as a freelancer, contractor, or temporary staff on high-volume, high-impact projects. Demonstrated expertise in proactively sourcing and attracting passive candidates for growth-critical roles. Proven ability to independently manage the end-to-end recruitment process. Strong understanding of industry trends and competitive landscapes. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Languages: Fluent English is mandatory. German proficiency is recommended but not required. Location: Berlin-based, with flexibility for hybrid work.
