The Opportunity

Good recruitment starts with good conversations. It is about understanding what a client really needs, getting to know candidates properly and bringing the right people together at the right time. Unity International Recruitment is looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its team in Chelmsford and play an important part in delivering a professional, well-managed recruitment service.

The role offers a good mix of client relationships, candidate engagement and day-to-day recruitment activity. It would suit an experienced consultant who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and likes building relationships that last beyond a single placement.

Responsibilities as a Senior Recruitment Consultant

• Manage vacancies from initial client briefing through to successful placement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
• Understand hiring requirements and provide suitable recruitment solutions
• Source, screen and assess candidates using recruitment databases, job boards and other channels
• Conduct candidate interviews and maintain clear communication throughout the process
• Develop candidate pipelines for current and future vacancies
• Coordinate interviews, feedback and offers between clients and candidates
• Keep recruitment records, systems and candidate information accurate and up to date
• Work closely with colleagues to share market knowledge and support team priorities
• Contribute to business development through professional client conversations and account growth

Experience and Skills

• 2+ years of recruitment consultancy or agency recruitment experience
• Experience managing vacancies and candidate pipelines
• Confident communicating with clients and candidates at different levels
• Strong interviewing, screening and relationship-building skills
• Good understanding of recruitment processes and candidate management
• Well organised, with the ability to manage several vacancies and deadlines
• Comfortable working towards agreed targets and objectives
• Professional approach with good judgement and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Benefits and Location

• £38,000–£43,000 per year
• Full-time, permanent position based in Chelmsford
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
