Job Description Job Purpose Intercontinental Exchange is seeking a Senior Associate for the Sustainable Finance Operations team based in Singapore. The role is primarily responsible for providing subject matter expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters. Key responsibilities include updating, analysing, and interpreting ESG data sets, and offering recommendations related to content development, process optimization, and ESG best practices. This position supports the Japanese market and requires strong proficiency in the Mandarin Language. The role involves collaboration with internal stakeholders - including training, business analysis, data quality, and customer support teams - to enhance the quality, completeness, timeliness, and scope of ESG data. Responsibilities also include conducting detailed mapping exercises to align ICE’s ESG data sets with external ESG frameworks. Responsibilities Analyse, interpret, and transform ESG data from various ESG reports, reference documents, third-party sources, and vendor data primarily published in Mandarin Language and\or English. Ensure ESG reference data within ICE products and services is accurate, comprehensive, and delivered in a timely manner. Apply subject matter expertise to make informed, qualitative decisions and draw accurate conclusions from complex data. Provide support for ESG product users by resolving inquiries efficiently. Source reliable content through advanced internet research and direct outreach to companies and media agencies. Identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance data accuracy, timeliness, and productivity. Investigate root causes of data inaccuracies or incompleteness and recommend corrective actions. Participate in ad hoc projects aimed at process optimization and data quality enhancement. Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic qualification (preferred). Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in ESG or refence data operations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex ESG data and performance trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.). High attention to detail, reliability, and adaptability. Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with ESG content and reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, EU Taxonomy will be a plus.
