Master degree or equivalent graduate in Finance with focus on accounting
Several years of professional experience in an international company or audit firm
Well-founded knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and German GAAP (HGB)
Distinct understanding of business contexts with a high affinity for processes as well as goal and solution oriented skills based on practice
Very good analytical and conceptual skills
Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
Founded SAP-Knowledge

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP (HGB) and internal guidelines. This includes the preparation, reconciliation and analysis of balance sheets and profit & loss statements on a monthly, quarterly, yearly or project base for both IFRS and local GAAP
Responsible focal point for outsourced shared-service provider regarding transactional accounting: ensure delivery and execution of the finance actuals, closing and reporting activities for assigned reporting unit(s)
Evaluation of business transactions on recognition, valuation and reporting requirement (IFRS, German GAAP, German Tax GAAP)
Responsible for independent preparation of statutory financial statements according to German local GAAP (HGB) as well as for preparation of all accounting related statutory and legal reports
Assist in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
Providing guidance for the rest of the German accounting team
Act as a primary contact for the legal entities under responsibility for corporate functions, business units, external auditors and other stakeholders
Assist management with financial planning including presentations and other ad hoc analysis.
