Euler Hermes North American Insurance Company (d/b/a Allianz Trade) has an opening for a full-time, hybrid Sr. Regional Financial Controller role at our office in Baltimore, MD. Duties: Responsible for improving financial controlling and reporting systems and operational efficiencies. Perform monthly financial reporting and analysis on profit and loss (P&L) of Americas business lines (Trade Credit and Surety). Provide consolidated regional views on premium, commission, claims, service revenues, and ratios (expense, claims, combined ratio, etc.). Prepare and coordinate monthly rolling P&L forecasts based on actual financial data and projects. Support annual and multi-year budget planning processes for Americas region in coordination with relevant business lines. Manage and update monthly and quarterly financial reports for Americas region (US, Canada, Brazil) to Allianz Group through Finance+. Periodically track and update local financial database with updated data to support monthly closing processes. Develop and maintain tools to analyze expenses by department and street cost ratios. Review quarterly costs and budget forecast deviations with department heads. Provide detailed monthly expense and acquisition cost reports to other departments (Marketing, Training, Legal, etc.). Telecommuting permitted up to three (3) days per week from within normal commuting distance of the Baltimore, MD, office. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in corporate accounting in the insurance industry. Prior experience must include five (5) years in/with: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to create, review, and compare P&L and revenue reports; advanced Excel pivot table techniques for complex financial data analysis; cost ratio management; budget forecast variation analyses; acquisition cost reconciliations; expense allocation execution; developing and monitoring financial key performance indicators (KPIs); consolidated financial reporting of local and regional business lines; IFRS accounting standards; partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in an enterprise environment..
