Developing policy and operational guidance on the application of red tape reduction principles to regulatory development and modernization. Developing and increasing the capacity of the Red Tape Reduction Team to deliver training to colleagues. You’ll provide expert analysis, policy development, and stakeholder engagement to advance regulatory excellence and ensure the province meets its commitment to reduce unnecessary regulatory burden. Your work will directly support the Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, contributing to high-impact legislative and strategic outcomes.Your key responsibilities include: Driving strategic initiatives by managing cross-government projects that advance red tape reduction goals and improve policy effectiveness. Analyzing ministry performance on RTR metrics, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies. Developing policy and legislative tools that promote regulatory excellence across government. Coordinating cross-ministry efforts and leading working groups to ensure alignment with RTR objectives. Engaging stakeholders through roundtables, consultations, and digital platforms to identify and address regulatory barriers. Preparing high-level materials including briefing notes, action requests, and annual reports for government decision-makers. Qualifications Minimum Requirements University graduation in a related field (such as, but not limited to Public Administration, Economics, Business Administration).
