Our insurance client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Reinsurance Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. The contract is for a minimum of 8 months and with a possibility to extend. This role is crucial in supporting our quarter-close processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple regulated entities. QUALIFICATIONS:

• CPA designation is highly preferred
• Prior experience with US GAAP for reinsurance/ insurance companies is preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Experience with Hyperion and Oracle is highly desirable; experience with a general ledger system is required. Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Assist with a variety of duties within the quarter-close process.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Bermuda statutory requirements.
• Support all accounting and operational aspects of reinsurance transactions
• Potentially alternate between GAAP and statutory reporting tasks each quarter.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and automate processes.
