We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Relationship Manager to join our major gift philanthropy team at CMRI. In this pivotal role, you will engage donor prospects, align their passions with our strategic priorities, and secure transformative financial support for our groundbreaking research programs. Your expertise in relationship building and securing gifts of six-figures or more will directly contribute to the success and future of our initiatives. Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Proactively identify, develop and manage an active portfolio and pipeline of prospective high-net worth-individual donors, Foundations and Trusts
  • Develop and implement individual moves-management plans, strategies and timelines to cultivate and solicit prospects to make a gift, focusing on major gifts of 6-figures or higher
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external professional units to identify and implement funding opportunities for programs and initiatives
  • Identify, prepare and submit an annually agreed number of compelling written proposals to inspire philanthropic giving
  • Solicit support through regular meetings, telephone, email and personal approaches, tracking activities and income against KPI targets
  • Devise stewardship plans for existing donors in your portfolio, to ensure supporters are well-stewarded and appropriately recognised by CMRI
  • Support the Senior Associate Director of Development and campaign consultants in the preparation and execution of the CMRI’s philanthropic campaign

WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE?

  • Relevant degree qualification or applicable combination of qualifications and substantial experience
  • Extensive experience in major gift fundraising or a relevant relationship management discipline, with a demonstrated ability to identify and negotiate 6-figure gift opportunities
  • High proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products alongside database (CRM) management experience
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a high level of discretion, memory, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and solicitations
  • Highly organised, with strong administrative and planning abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects efficiently
  • Strategic thinker, skilled at prioritising and executing tasks to achieve objectives and drive growth
  • Proven ability to introduce innovative approaches to meet and exceed targets, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Highly energetic and passionate about community service, with a strong commitment to improving the health and welfare of children, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a dedicated, enthusiastic work ethic
  • A driver’s license is bonus, but not a must
