Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Release Manager is responsible for ensuring that new releases or versions of information systems and related IT infrastructure occur in a cost-effective, controlled and coordinated manner with minimal disruption to the business operations.
The position requires a commitment to service delivery and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

As the Senior Release Manager, you will:

  • Ensures that release packages are tested independently in accordance with the defined test plan prior to migration to the live environment, reducing the risk of incidents relating to the release.
  • Manage releases of solution components following agreed procedures to minimise impact to the organisation.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to confirm outcomes and results, identify lessons learned and develop comprehensive action plans to ensure the release has been effective and the outcome to the business has been achieved.
  • Review and evaluate the performance and outcomes of new and/or modified systems to ensure objectives are achieved.
