Reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Superintendent, the Senior Reliability Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and implementing reliability programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Undergraduate degree in Engineering required
· Professional Engineer registered with APEGA required
· 15+ years reliability engineering experience in oil & gas industry with knowledge in SAGD
· In-depth knowledge with the applicable codes, standards and best industry practices
· Practical experience with establishing reliability programs for SAGD, upgrader, refinery or petrochemical facilities
· Working knowledge of Process Safety and asset integrity programs and accompanying best practices
· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with diverse personalities and work force
· Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
· Strong problem solving, written and oral communication skills
· Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
· Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
· Adoption and demonstration of the Company Values (Honorable, Unified, Passionate, Accountable)

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support development of standards, processes, procedures and methodologies to improve reliability excellence across all facilities.
· Responsible for the following: equipment criticality rankings, FMEA, maintenance strategies, equipment care plans, rebuild checklists; spare parts inventory optimization, lubrication and vibration analysis programs.
· Support the Maintenance and Reliability Superintendent in the development and oversight of maintenance budgets.
· Understands and develops KPI’s, and drives continuous improvement within the facility and unit.
· Support the Management of Change process; support or lead the execution of MOCs.
· Conduct root cause failure analysis and develop action plans; prepare and present comprehensive reports as required.
· Support the planning and coordination of third-party maintenance and reliability services, ensuring service reports are reviewed with deficiencies actioned.
· Working closely with facility engineers, operation and maintenance personnel and provides technical support, guidance and coaching.
