MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen..
  • Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s of science in STEM.
  • Candidate must have 12+ years of related experience in Production and Lifecycle Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering (Model Based Systems Engineering and tool (CAMEO) expertise required).
  • Demonstrated Experience in Aerospace Industry (Large DoD projects, Aircraft, Rockets, Missiles, Spacecraft).
  • Experience leading a collaborative team (dispersed team of Government, Contractors, Prime Developers) is required.
  • Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills (demonstrated experience briefing CEO and/or General Officer level).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of science degree is highly desired, but a Bachelor of Science with 20+ years of experience will also be considered.
  • Top-Secret security clearance is highly desired, but a Secret clearance will be considered.
  • Certifications with International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE): Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) are desired.
  • Preferred skills include MDA Experience; fundamental understanding of radars and/or missile defense concepts to include ballistic, cruise and hypersonics.

Responsibilities

The Senior Requirements Engineer directly supports the Missile Defense Agency staff in the office of Ground Based Midcourse Defense. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support planning for future missile defense capabilities and requirements.
  • Develop system requirements; manage and execute requirement traceability.
  • Lead Working Groups during the absence of Civilian or Military Chairs.
  • Lead Technical Interchange Meetings across multiple technical disciplines and time-zones to develop MDA requirements.
