Description
We Are Hiring! We are expanding our engineering team. We are looking for motivated professionals to support requirements engineering activities within international railway projects, contributing to the definition, analysis, traceability, verification, and management of system and subsystem requirements across rolling stock platforms. You will play an important role in coordinating technical activities between engineering teams, suppliers, validation teams, and project stakeholders, supporting the successful delivery of railway systems in compliance with technical, safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. Your Responsibilities In charge of requirements capture process through all the development phases. Elicit and analyze customer, standards (EN, DIN, IEC, LOC&PAS) and system requirements. Prepare and maintain requirement specifications (e.g. System Requirement Specification – SyRS, Software Requirement Specification – SRS). Ensure consistency, completeness, and traceability of requirements using requirement management tools (e.g. IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jama). Support the definition of system architecture and functional design based on collected requirements. Facilitate requirement reviews, change requirements, and impact analysis. Collaborate with design, verification, and validation teams to ensure compliance with functional and safety standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129). Provide regular reporting and metrics on requirements status and quality. Contribute to continuous improvement of requirements management processes and templates. Your Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in requirements or systems engineering, ideally in the railway, automotive, or aerospace industry. Knowledge of systems engineering principles in railway industry. Experience with requirement management tools (e.g. DOORS, Polarion, Jama). Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills in English. Knowledge of railway standards and certification processes is an advantage. Why Join Wyss&Lila?
