Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Senior Requirements Specialist / Systems Engineer for our Rail Systems Engineering team. Supporting the planning and execution of systems requirements activities for a major urban rail project. Reporting to the System Engineering Manager/Lead, you will work collaboratively with a team of Chief Engineers and Specialists across rail & transit Project Managers, Systems Engineers, Signals Engineers, Analysts, and Coordinators.
As a member of the Rail & Transit team, you will be given opportunities to use your transferable skills to define processes, create execution plans, and be the technical lead for some projects.
You will be supported by management to deliver Systems engineering assignments and professional skills to become a strong leader in the consulting environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct Requirements Analysis, Traceability, and appropriate allocation of requirements to responsible parties.
  • Responsible for eliciting, deriving and decomposing requirements.
  • Responsible for managing requirements repository in IBM DOORS NG, maintaining configuration control, and ensuring synchronization with external systems and design activities to support design compliance, traceability, and alignment across all project teams and design activities.
  • Manage the requirements baseline, track changes, and conduct version control.
  • Assess impact of proposed changes.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Requirements management team and all other stakeholders.
  • Report progress and issues to Systems Engineering Management.
  • Directly liaise with Design leads, Project managers, System assurance and other Systems engineers as required to support inputs/outputs between processes.Maintain a very good understanding of the project’s domain, industry standards, and best practices.
