General Description:
We are seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious individual to join our dynamic research team. Reporting to the Director of Market Intelligence, the Senior Research Analyst plays a key role in helping HARDI produce HVACR market analyses and guidance to support HARDI member businesses. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at distilling data into meaningful insights, and is eager to contribute across survey research, market forecasting, and industry trend analysis. The ideal candidate combines deep experience in market research with exceptional communication and writing skills.
The Senior Research Analyst will be a key contributor to our research efforts focused on the HVACR industry. You will work closely with contractors, distributors, and manufacturers to gather and analyze data, manage custom and syndicated survey projects, and translate findings into compelling insights for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
About Us:
HARDI is predominantly a North American trade association with international members representing wholesale distributors of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and supplies. With a membership of approximately 1,000 distributors, manufacturers, manufacturer representatives, marketing groups, and service vendors, HARDI is a diverse organization that exists to make HVACR distributors the channel of choice for HVACR suppliers and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

· Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, political science, statistics, or a related field required.
· Master’s degree preferred.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

· 5–10 years of experience in market research, economic analysis, or industry intelligence roles.
· Demonstrated experience conducting and interpreting survey research and working with economic and market datasets.
· Regular usage of varied research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods) and forecasting techniques.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSET

· Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, statistical packages (e.g., R, Python,), and survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
· Outstanding writing and editing ability—capable of turning complex analysis into accessible content for professional audiences.
· Confident communicator with strong presentation and collaboration skills.
· Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Self-starter with creativity, initiative, and persistence to begin new lines of inquiry.
· Familiarity with the HVACR or construction industries is a strong plus.
· Experience in managing client relationships or internal stakeholders for custom research deliverables.
