Introduction: The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level. Responsibilities: independently conduct interviews and write up detailed notes on interviews and observation visits managing field work process to ensure effective use of time facilitating meetings among the research team and junior research staff training new junior staff (Lady Health Workers - LHWs / Community Health Workers - CHWs) in research / interviewing skills and proper data collection visiting different households in the communities to ensure the successful completion of the data collection in their areas including Q/C liaising with admin regarding logistics for field work developing and conducting regular trainings of LHWs and CHWs providing supervision and support for approximately LHWs / CHWs liaising with their Supervisors raising wider community awareness on Child Health related issues based on prepared project activity guidelines following and ensuring field implementation of project related SOPs / guidelines as defined in the research project. Requirements: You should have: a Bachelor’s. degree or Masters Fresh or 01 years of experience working in reputable Healthcare sector Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively sensitivity to cultural differences the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively the ability to be an excellent team player good communication and interpersonal skills resilience and ability to cope with work pressure Willing to work in the communities/field sites Good Computer and Report Writing Skills Excellent scientific writing ability Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to mentor or supervise undergraduate and post graduate students Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
