FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES OFFICE OF DEAN OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant (25260534) The Office of Dean of Arts and Social Sciences would like to seek proactive and self-driven applicants for the position of Senior Research Assistant or Research Assistant to support research projects that encompass ethnic minorities, older adults, and students in Hong Kong. Responsibilities: Assist in data collection and management of ongoing research projects, including conducting surveys, interviews, and focus groups with students and stakeholders; Conduct literature reviews and contribute to data analysis, including statistical analysis using SPSS; Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support project planning, implementation and evaluation; Liaise with schools, NGOs, community organisations, and other stakeholders to facilitate cross-sector collaboration; Engage with South Asian community members to ensure culturally sensitive and effective project delivery; Perform administrative and project management tasks as required; and Undertake other duties as assigned by the Dean or his delegates. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Sociology or a related field; Ability to work both independently and as an effective team player; Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail; Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in South Asian languages (e.g., Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, Punjabi) is an advantage; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SPSS (data management and analysis) and Endnote (reference management); and Experience in project coordination, community engagement, or working with ethnically diverse populations is highly desirable. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and funding availability.
