Position Summary: Terray Therapeutics is seeking a motivated, creative, and experienced assay scientist to join our biochemical assays team. This role will be full-time onsite. The candidate will report to the Biochemical Assays team lead and work with the assay team to test small molecule hits from our screens in a range of biochemical assays using different target proteins. The core responsibilities of this position are: Run biochemical assays specific to the protein targets at scale using liquid handling robots to evaluate hits from tArray screens Potential to flex into reporter cellular assays Working closely with our assay scientists to optimize and develop new assays Record experiments in the electronic notebook, analyze data and communicate results in meetings Support organization of lab and equipment as needed Experience and Qualifications: Part of Terray’s success is nurtured by a hands-on work environment where everyone is accountable, vested in a vision of excellence, and actively taking part in the success of the business. Required Qualifications: BSc with 4+ years of research experience in the field of biochemistry, enzymology or related field, OR MSc with 2+ years of research experience in the field of biochemistry, enzymology or related field Hands-on experience with small molecule testing in assays Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and can thrive in a highly collaborative research environment Demonstrated technical proficiency, attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot to solve problems and to deliver high quality data Preferred Qualifications: Industry experience 384-well format biochemical assays Hands-on experience with a variety of assay formats (e.g. luminescence, FRET, Fluorescence Polarization, ELISA) Experience with mammalian cell culture and reporter cell lines Compensation Details: $78,000 - $106,000 (annually) depending on experience; participation in the Company's option plan; 3% retirement safe harbor contribution; fully-paid medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits.
Responsibilities
The candidate will run biochemical assays specific to protein targets at scale and work closely with the assay team to optimize and develop new assays. They will also record experiments, analyze data, and support lab organization as needed.
