Description

Nanyang Technological University’s National Centre for Research in Digital Trust (DTC) is a Trust Technology Research Centre to execute a national program to help put Singapore into a strong trust hub. The key objective is to support efforts to create a trusted digital environment for people and businesses in the digital transformation by providing businesses and consumers with greater assurance and confidence as they digitalize.

We are looking for a Senior Research Fellow to involved in research and development on Trust Technology. The role will focus on emerging technologies that engender trust and espouse its values in digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced research on digital trust topics including cybersecurity, data privacy, digital identity, blockchain trust frameworks, and trustworthy AI systems.
  • Develop and evaluate regulatory and governance frameworks to enhance digital trust across sectors, contributing to national or organizational trust strategies.
  • Collaborate with academia, industry, and government to address trust-related challenges in emerging technologies and digital infrastructure.
  • Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at global conferences, workshops, and policy forums.
  • Lead and manage funded research projects, ensuring timely delivery of objectives, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with centre goals.
  • Mentor junior researchers, interns, and PhD candidates; contribute to public outreach, training programs, and capacity-building initiatives in digital trust.

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, information theory or relevant field
  • At least 4 years of relevant experiences in post-doctoral role
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proven publication record in privacy, security, blockchain, and trust related conferences and journals
  • Be familiar with the following programming languages: C/C++, Python, Java, and GO
  • Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses international experience, with a strong network of contacts in the region.
