ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Senior Research Fellow to join our dynamic and supportive research team, contributing to high-impact translational research across clinical and experimental models. In this role, you will lead innovative projects in cardiac metabolomics and lipidomics, mentor emerging researchers, and help shape the strategic direction of our research program.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Conduct high-impact research in heart failure, with a focus on metabolomics, lipidomics, and cardiac fuel substrate analysis in both clinical and experimental models, contributing to improved understanding and treatment strategies.
  • Develop and validate assays to support translational research in heart failure, including novel biomarkers and metabolic intermediates relevant to cardiac function and disease progression.
  • Lead and contribute to competitive research grant applications and attract diverse research funding, supporting the long-term sustainability and growth of the research program.
  • Publish research findings in high-quality academic journals, deliver keynote presentations, and contribute to knowledge dissemination and translation that drives real-world impact.
  • Provide academic mentorship and supervision to research staff and students, fostering an environment of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Actively contribute to school, faculty, and University governance, strategic initiatives, and community engagement activities, promoting a culture of integrity, inclusivity, and academic leadership.
