We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Nurse to join our unique research team within the Department of Critical Care at St Thomas’ Hospital. This role will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of research site trial education for a NIHR funded multi-centre study of a mechanical ventilation strategy in critical care (The RELEASE trial).
The Senior Research Nurse will play a key role in the trial education for site set-up and ongoing educational support for the delivery of the trial intervention. This role will work closely with the study investigator team and the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) team based at Warwick to ensure the education for sites to participate in the trial is well coordinated and delivered in a timely and appropriate manner.
Our research programme is at the heart of everything we do at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Research plays a vital role in helping us to consolidate and grow our position as one of the UK’s leading research Trusts.
Responsibilities will include the development, co-ordination, and management of the RELEASE trial site education and ongoing support programme to facilitate successful delivery of the trial and collaborating with key personnel to enable appropriate care and support for patients involved in this clinical trial. The post holder will deliver in-person and virtual trial education and support to participating sites coordinating with the trial investigators, the Warwick CTU, local PIs, research delivery and clinical delivery teams whenever relevant.
The post holder will work with a high level of autonomy to develop and coordinate all trial research education and site support
