In this role, you will support important, high-quality research focusing embryonic development, stem cell research and mouse pre-clinical model systems. You will play a key role supporting research activities and data collection, consulting with experts, and developing effective working relationships with research teams. Your key responsibilities will be to: develop effective working relationships with staff scientists and students and other stakeholders to adapt and implement the project perform research activities, including experimental procedures, observations and data collection as required by the research team champion best practices in research, driving the adoption of innovative methodologies and ensuring stringent compliance manage mouse colonies for complex genetics studies foster open communication and collaboration within the team, addressing stakeholder queries and concerns in a timely manner, while building trust within immediate work networks oversee report compilation to meet established standards, proactively identify compliance improvements (ethics), and collaborate with the team to rectify discrepancies monitor risk within the team, promote workplace health and safety, ensure alignment with university policies, and proactively address potential challenges. About you tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and an equivalent combination of training and experience have experience in developing and working on research projects, including expertise in using research protocols, experimental design, ethics submissions, and grant applications have a clear understanding of ethical guidelines and standards possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with day to day operational matters ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage various demands on strict deadlines have a working understanding and current knowledge of relevant aspects of the Work, Health, and Safety Policy and relevant legislation.
