Role Mission To spearhead the research and development of next-generation Radio Resource Management (RRM) mechanisms for 5G/6G networks, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to optimize network performance and efficiency through advanced wireless simulations. Key Responsibilities Lead and actively contribute to cutting-edge 6G research projects, with a focus on AI/ML-driven RRM. Design, develop, and validate novel AI/ML-based algorithms and mechanisms for wireless networks (e.g.performance improvement, network autonomy). Utilize and relevant validation tools (e.g., Matlab, ns-3 or alternative) to model and evaluate the performance of proposed solutions. Actively participate in funded research projects (e.g., European Commission, national grants), contributing to research tasks and proposal writing. Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Requirements PhD in Wireless Communications, Computer Science, or Data Science. Proven experience in designing AI/ML-based algorithms/mechanisms for networks (e.g. FL, RL, ANN, etc.). Strong knowledge of wireless simulation tools (e.g., Matlab, ns-3 or similar). Excellent command of Python. Good command of English. Nice-to-Have Experience with Generative AI/LLMs. Experience in funded research projects (e.g., EC, national), including proposal writing. A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications.
