Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Lead and supervise the on-site engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to timelines Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality standards and compliance with project specifications Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, implementing innovative solutions to overcome challenges Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project processes and enhance overall performance Implement and oversee sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes Utilize BIM technology to improve project visualization, coordination, and efficiency Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projects Proven track record in overseeing complex building projects in the Middle East In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practices Strong understanding of building development, construction methodologies, and quality control processes Excellent project management skills, including budget and schedule management Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail Outstanding leadership and team management skills Strong technical report writing and communication abilities Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and implement innovative solutions Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
