This position is open to candidates at Senior Resident Medical Officer level with an interest in Anaesthesia. You will be involved in the chronic and acute pain inpatient service as well as the Outpatient pain service. You will work with a multidisciplinary team managing pain with a continuity of care model ranging from acute to chronic pain. You will also be exposed to a wide range of learning opportunities through services such as pre-surgery opioid optimisation and analgesia planning, specialised pain management for burns, cancer and the pain management for veterans with the National Centre for Veterans’ Healthcare which is the first national holistic management centre for veterans. There will also be opportunities to learn a range of interventional as well as non-interventional pain management techniques. You will be able to observe the interplay between acute and chronic pain through our Integrated Pain Service which integrates acute and chronic pain services. The team is a dynamic one and active in research.
