WSLHD - SRMO PTP OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY WESTMEAD

WSLHD - SRMO PTP Obstetrics and Gynaecology Westmead The Senior Resident Medical Officer – Obstetrics and Gynaecology Diploma (O&G SRMO - PTP) position can be for 6 or 12 months and is for candidates wishing to participate in the RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Procedural).

The aim of the SRMO is to learn about and then provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism. The SRMO can expect to achieve the requirements of the Associate Training Program (Procedural) (PTP) as set out by RANZCOG (previously known as the Diploma).

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Two years post graduate experience (PGY 3 or above). Suitable for applicants looking for a 6- or 12-month RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Procedural) position
  • Candidates with long term interest in O & G training or GP obstetrician training
  • Previous rotational training in O & G
  • Willingness to rotate between district and rural hospitals.
  • An interest in participating in teaching and research.
