Our Mission? End Homelessness. PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: SRA will provide direct oversite to assigned cluster of RA’s on duty. The SRA must be able to delegate tasks, resolve problems, and make sure that everything goes smoothly for everyone during a given work shift. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide direct oversite and leadership of Residential Aides during the shift. Under direction of RA Manager, oversees how RAs perform during their shift ensuring tasks are completed and that staff are motivated to work effectively. Train and integrate new workers. Provide guidance and feedback to employees on a continuous basis. Under the direction of the RA Manager, helps resolve problems and troubleshoot issues as they arise for team members to complete their tasks effectively. Responsible for conducting unannounced inspections during overnight shifts at their assigned sites, at a rotated basis, as directed by RA Manager. Facilitates food distribution Communicate daily shift concerns to RA Manager. Complete shift report at the end of assigned shift and send to site leadership. Model courtesy and professionalism when assisting clients, staff or other officials. Communicates and ensures that all Priority 1/Level 1 incidents are reported within 24 hours. Organize and facilitate new client intakes when applicable. Monitor the security of the entire facility implementing the surveillance system and rounds. Ensure the safety of all residents and staff Document all residents, staff and visitors entering and exiting the building; complete census forms, report all incidents, and ensures all events are logged in the Facility Logbook. Generate shift reports at the end of all shifts. Generate and submit applicable paperwork to senior leadership and/or funding sources. File all paperwork relating to shift coverage. Oversees the process of client intake by RAs. Completes intakes as needed. Provide a professional greeting to all visitors and callers. Generate and submit all incident reports, which include detailed information of the incident and names of the first responders (i.e. police, ambulance, fire department, ACS, political parties, news). Ensure the lobby and front of the building is always cleared. Prevent loitering in all areas within and surrounding the building. Assist with fire drills/emergency evacuations. Assist custodial and security staff with the maintenance of the facility when directed. Distribute mail to clients Enforce the curfew regulation and facilitate room check and hourly rounds and disposal of trash. Implement all programmatic needs as necessary and outlined by the Director and Funding Sources. Assists with conducting partial Intake Assessment and move outs as instructed by site leadership using Intake documents provided. Provides emergency coverage where applicable, as needed. Assists with holding staff meetings, supervisory and in-service training sessions. Performs other duties as assigned by the RA Manager and/or Program Director. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma/ GED Certifications Required: (F-02) NYC Fire Guard for Shelters (MUST be completed within the first 90 days of hiring.) Additional certifications: NYS Security License, Eight and Sixteen Hour. NYC Fire Safety Coordinator (F02), First Aid and CPR Certificate. NYS Food Handlers License Experience: 1 to 2 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in a social services agency required. Direct client/participant services preferred. 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience. Ability to multitask. Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. Leadership and conflict-management skills. Related Skills or Knowledge: Computer literacy-skills in Microsoft Suite. Good writing and communication skills. Employee must be proficient in written and oral English; written and oral Spanish proficiency is preferred. Responsibilities
