OVERVIEW

Oculus Legal Group has been instructed to hire of a Senior level Residential Conveyancing to join a Bristol based firm which is highly regarded as having one of the finest Residential teams in the region.
The role is pitched at the upper end of the team structure - a role that rarely goes out to the open market for applications. A super opportunity for a licensed conveyancer to thrive in a collaborative and ‘down to earth’ culture.
The role will suit a Senior Residential Conveyancing professional who is keen to operate in a senior ‘stand alone’ role or a team lead role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideally qualified
  • Proven experience as a Residential Conveyancer with a strong understanding of property law.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with conveyancing software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as a Senior figure in the Residential team - opportunities to cover high value/complex work with the option to cover team management as part of an even more senior role
  • Cover work across Freehold & leasehold, sales & purchases, Shared ownership, Auction sales & purchases, Mortgages and equity release, The granting of new leases, Transfers of equity, Landlord & tenant matters, Lease extensions, Right to Buy, Help to Buy and Boundary disputes.
  • Manage a caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address queries.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including title checks and searches, to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare and review legal documentation, including contracts and transfer deeds.
  • Liaise with mortgage lenders, local authorities, and other parties involved in the transaction process.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Ensure that all transactions are completed within agreed timelines while adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members as required.
