SENIOR RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER – ROCHESTER – UP TO £28,720

Our client is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Rochester. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting, many of whom present with emotional, behavioural, and complex needs, including behaviours that challenge.

• Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour and emotional/behavioural needs
• A resilient, proactive, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and confidently de-escalate difficult situations
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping young people navigate the challenges in their daily lives. You will:

• Support children and young people to develop independence and essential life skills
• Model and encourage positive behaviour and healthy relationships
• Provide emotional and practical support in a trauma-informed, person-centred way
• Manage and respond to incidents of challenging behaviour with resilience and professionalism
• Ensure a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment
• Implement and follow care plans while working collaboratively with colleagues, professionals, and families
