JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business].
As a Senior Responsible Supply Chain Analyst you will join our Socially Responsible and Sustainable Supply Chains Team, contributing to the development and execution of responsible sourcing and supply chain compliance processes, policies, and goals across our global supply chain. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and advance our responsible sourcing program while conducting governance activities that drive meaningful progress.
You will serve as a subject matter expert on responsible sourcing and supply chain compliance topics, representing the company in forums with suppliers, industry associations, and external stakeholders.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to embed responsible sourcing practices throughout the organization and global supply chain. While your primary focus will be on responsible sourcing and supply chain compliance, you’ll also have opportunities to work alongside colleagues integrating environmental sustainability into our supply chain strategy.
This role requires a strong drive to identify and thoroughly examine problems, promote compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct, and work with stakeholders to develop implementable solutions. You’ll be responsible for managing high-visibility initiatives, making excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills essential.
This fast-paced, hybrid role requires three days per week in-office and offers the chance to make a tangible impact on the future of responsible sourcing in the automotive industry.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in responsible sourcing, supplier compliance, or ethical trade within a global supply chain environment.
  • Proven ability to manage investigations and conduct supplier due diligence.
  • Experience implementing and improving supply chain compliance programs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, International Relations, or a related field
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS Ethical Procurement, SA8000 Auditor, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of international labor standards, environmental regulations, and corporate social responsibility frameworks (e.g., UNGC, OECD, RBA, etc.).
  • Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and supply chain transparency tools.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplier Compliance & Ethical Sourcing

  • Perform due diligence on potential suppliers using internal systems and third-party databases.
  • Assess supplier risk across environmental, social, financial, legal, and geopolitical dimensions.
  • Monitor supplier practices for alignment with the UN Guiding Principles and OECD Due Diligence Guidance.
  • Track and evaluate supplier adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to facilitate ethical and compliant supplier onboarding.
  • Engage directly with suppliers and external stakeholders to promote compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support investigations related to S upplier Code of Conduct violations.
  • Assess suppliers for compliance with ethical standards and our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Program Development & Integration

  • Assist in designing and implementing scalable compliance programs across global operations.
  • Develop supplier compliance documentation and reporting dashboards.
  • Maintain and organize compliance program documentation for audit readiness.
  • Prepare reports for internal audits, external disclosures, and executive briefings.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update internal policies and program elements accordingly.
  • Support training and capacity-building initiatives for internal teams and suppliers.

Trade Compliance

  • Facilitate compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Support export screening processes and reporting.
  • Partner with Legal, Supply Chain, and Purchasing teams to maintain export control documentation and training.

Systems & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Develop and enhance systems and processes for responsible sourcing and supplier due diligence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Legal, Purchasing , Sustainability, and Risk.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to drive alignment and accountability.
