Description

Overview:
The Senior Retirement Analyst will administer all retirement plans and select benefit programs, including: 401(k)/Savings Plan, Partners’ Cash Balance Retirement plan, Form 5500 filings, Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts administration. The Senior Retirement Analyst is a critical member of the HR team, requires strong communication skills for employee support and will report directly to the Benefits Manager. Will support the Director of Benefits & Compensation as needed. The Senior Retirement Analyst will maintain participant records in HRIS, reconcile bills, prepare bimonthly payroll input, handle plan distributions, and interact with auditors on all retirement plan matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Retirement Plan: Process and reconcile employee payrolls and partner distributions and resolve any issues that arise with the payroll. Coordinate non-discrimination testing for all plans. Reconcile funding of quarterly retirement plan contributions, and annual 401(k) matching contributions with the record keeper. Update employee and partner contributions in HRIS. Interact with payroll vendor and retirement plan record keeper. Provide retirement plan participants with assistance when needed. Provide calendar year budget estimates for retirement plans. Provide new employees and partners with information on the 401(k) and HR-10 eligibility. Manage audit for defined contribution plans and prepare 5500’s for the same. Assist with communication of any plan changes
  • Cash Balance Plan Administration: Assist with processing of participant distributions in accordance with plan rules. Coordinate annual valuation and compliance testing with actuaries and plan administrators. Support preparation of Form 5500 and audit documentation specific to the cash balance plan. Assist with participant communications regarding plan features, benefit projections, and distribution options.
  • HSA/FSA Spending Account Management: Oversee administration of HSA and FSA accounts, including payroll deductions and vendor coordination. Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and plan documentation. Assist employees with account-related inquiries and issues.
  • Health & Welfare Compliance: Manage Form 5500 filings for applicable benefit plans. Conduct annual nondiscrimination testing (NDT) for FSAs. Support benefit plan audits by preparing and organizing required documentation. Maintain a compliance calendar to track key deadlines.
  • Assistance with other insurance plans and reconciliation.
  • Other responsibilities as they may be assigned from time to time.
