Senior Risk Controller (m/f/d) Third-Party Risk Management Group

This is what you can expect


  • Actively shape the group-wide third-party risk management by further developing and anchoring specifications, processes and guidelines for managing outsourcing and ICT services within the KfW Group.
  • Take over the group and corporate management of third-party risks, including the management of intra-group benefits, framework agreements and SLAs, as well as the corresponding control activities.
  • Advise and support specialist departments and group companies in the implementation of regulatory requirements (e.g. MaRisk, DORA, EBA Guidelines), moderate risk workshops and support internal and external audits.
  • Participate in strategically important projects , e.g., adapting existing ICT contracts to new regulatory requirements, and contribute your expertise to cross-functional working groups and regular meetings.
  • Support the group companies in using the group-wide outsourcing management tool , coordinate releases, assist with analyses and tests, and thus ensure uniform use throughout the KfW Group.

What you bring with you


  • A completed university degree (Diploma/Master) e.g. in economics, law, natural sciences or engineering or a comparable qualification as well as several years of relevant professional experience in risk management of a regulated financial institution.
  • Solid practical experience in risk controlling and in the implementation of regulatory requirements (especially MaRisk, DORA, EBA guidelines) including experience with outsourcing and ICT services as well as the support of audits and reviews.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills that enable you to translate complex regulatory requirements into efficient processes, guidelines, and control instruments.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills in German and good English language, to advise, train and network various stakeholders within the group and group companies.
  • A high degree of goal orientation, independence and openness to change , combined with team spirit, networking skills, quality awareness, technological understanding and sound MS-Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint ).
