Overview The Risk Manager conducts analyses of clients’ and prospects’ business practices to identify loss trends. This role recommends solutions to minimize risks and provide a safe operating environment as well as to improve loss control measures and operating results. The Risk Manager also may manage a team depending on the size of the agency. How you'll make an impact Conducts risk analyses for clients and prospects. Identifies, communicates, and recommends appropriate steps for client to take to reduce/eliminate risks. Assists with implementation of improvement plans. Prepares reports as determined by company guidelines and client requests. Meets with company owners (clients), drivers (employees of clients), insurance carriers and associations. Other duties as assigned. Travel is expected to be 25% in this role but will be as incidents/ clients are required. About You Required: Bachelor's degree; 6 years professional experience with quantitative analysis. Prior experience with complex data analytics, big data and expertise in machine learning and advanced statistics. Expertise in the end to end advanced analytics process of data acquisition, prep and wrangling, variable creation, selection and reduction, modeling, testing and deployment into production. Highly polished presentation skills. ASP certification. Preferred: PhD in Math, Physics, or related field. Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with Access or enterprise database programs a plus. Experience working with a consultant firm.
