For our client, an internationally leading operator of marketplaces for the energy and raw materials industry based in Leipzig, we are seeking a Senior Risk Manager (m/f/d) specializing in Enterprise Risk Management for direct placement.

Your responsibilities in this position:

  • They support the further development of enterprise risk management and actively participate in shaping group-wide risk management.
  • They address key topics in risk management, such as risk strategy, risk assessment, risk-bearing capacity, and stress tests.
  • They further develop existing risk methods, models and processes and contribute to modern and future-oriented risk management.
  • They create risk analyses and reports for management, internal committees, and other relevant contacts.
  • They provide support with regulatory issues, particularly in the context of EMIR, as well as with recovery and resolution planning processes.
  • They work closely with internal departments, auditors, regulatory authorities and international stakeholders, and are available as a competent point of contact.

You bring the following with you:

  • Successfully completed studies in business administration, economics, mathematics, physics, macroeconomics or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in risk management, enterprise risk management, risk controlling or a comparable environment at a CCP, bank, auditing firm or consulting firm.
  • Sound knowledge of banking and CCP regulations as well as experience in risk modeling and quantification
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to address complex issues in a structured, reliable and solution-oriented manner.
  • Confident demeanor, excellent communication skills, and enjoyment of collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent English skills and a strong team orientation are required.
