Churchill Howard is supporting a leading UK financial services organisation with the appointment of a Senior Enterprise Risk Manager.


This is a senior second-line risk position offering excellent exposure to Executive and Board stakeholders. You will help shape the Group's enterprise risk approach, strengthen governance and provide insight that supports strategic decision-making.


It's an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a business, challenging constructively and influencing how risk is managed.


Key Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance the Group's enterprise risk framework.

- Lead strategic risk identification, assessment and monitoring.

- Maintain and evolve the Group's risk appetite framework.

- Prepare clear, commercially focused reporting for senior leadership and Board committees.

- Assess emerging risks and undertake thematic reviews.

- Support regulatory and governance activity, including ICAAP and annual reporting requirements.

- Improve risk MI, data and reporting capabilities.

- Work closely with specialist risk teams and business leaders to strengthen risk management.

- Promote a positive risk culture through effective challenge and stakeholder engagement.


You'll bring strong enterprise risk experience, ideally gained within banking, financial services or another regulated environment.


We're particularly interested in professionals with:


- Experience of enterprise risk, risk appetite and governance frameworks.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex information into concise recommendations.

- Confidence engaging with senior executives and Board-level committees.

- Experience across strategic risk, regulatory requirements and risk reporting.

- Excellent influencing, communication and relationship-building skills.

- A relevant professional qualification in risk, finance, accounting or a related discipline.
