JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

TMX’s Post Trade Risk Management team manages financial risks for The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited (CDS) and The Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC) , developing and maintaining robust procedures, models, systems, and reporting aligned with TMX policies, TMX risk appetite, and PFMIs (Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures). The team oversees credit, market, liquidity, model, and operational risks. Reporting to the Risk Integration Manager, the Senior Risk Specialist will advance CDS and CDCC strategic initiatives. You will implement sophisticated risk management tools and drive continuous process improvement, ensuring TMX practices meet evolving industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Data Science & Analytics: Apply advanced data science for in-depth quantitative/qualitative analysis of equity, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products.
  • Programming & Model Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications and underlying analytical models.
  • Visualization & Reporting: Build and maintain interactive dashboards and automated PDF reports.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain solution diagrams, flowcharts, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of complex risk management projects, driving initiatives and acting as a primary point of contact for stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction on intricate risk issues.
