About the role Reporting directly to the Chief Health Officer, the Senior Nurse Lead is responsible for oversight of a group of Within Health nurses, ensuring that the nurses are adhering to the company's clinical philosophy, programming model, and professional standards. The Senior Nurse Lead demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and skill, provides clinical and administrative leadership, and training to RN Team Leads and other Clinical staff. What you'll do Oversee a team of RN team leads, providing them with weekly supervision and training, ongoing performance reviews, and assisting with scheduling needs Develop and implement a training program for new RN team leads to help ensure consistent standards across all nurses Participate in leadership meetings and participates in/spearhead taskforces and performance improvement projects within the company Participate in marketing, outreach, recruitment and hiring processes, as needed Perform focused nursing assessments utilizing remote patient monitoring devices. Oversee a team of therapists, dietitians, and care partners providing recommended treatments for clients. Document all client interactions appropriately and within designated timeframes. Conduct weekly family coaching meetings. Coordinate care and program services with patient, family, treatment team, and outpatient team. Educate clients, and family members when appropriate, regarding medical complications of eating disorders. Educate clients, and family members when appropriate, regarding psychiatric medications. Provide in-the-moment feedback by utilizing between-session messaging to motivate and support clients and families . Alert medical and clinical professionals to intervene during emergencies. Maintain strict client confidentiality. Participate in Staff meetings. Participate in scheduled Partnership Meetings. Participate in scheduled Family Partnership Meetings. Facilitate or co-facilitate groups as appropriate. Attend supervision and department meetings. Participate in initial and ongoing training. Provide case management for clients, ensuring effective communication with those involved in the recovery process, including school administrators, law enforcement, attorneys, etc. Communicate with clients, family members, team members, & outpatient teams in a timely and consistent manner. Give direction and direct feedback to different team members. Other related duties as assigned based on need. Collaborate with Team Lead (RN) with smooth step-down and discharge processes; Serve as a liaison with other departments, as needed; Facilitate individual, family and group therapy, as needed; Who You Are Must be a Registered Nurse with an interstate compact license, and the ability to obtain additional licenses as requested by the Company 5 years of experience as an RN in the behavioral health field, with at least 1 year specifically in the eating disorder field, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience Ability to demonstrate understanding of a variety of models and theories of eating disorders, trauma, mental illness, and related issues. Knowledge of philosophies, practices, policies and outcomes of models of treatment, recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for dually diagnosed populations. Understanding of diagnostic criteria for co-occurring conditions and ability to conceptualize modalities and placement criteria within the continuum of care. Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into practice settings. Proven experience managing nursing staff Solid understanding of scheduling, resourcing and performance evaluation procedures Proficient in Google Workspace and computer systems (e.g. patient management software) Excellent communication and people skills Exceptional organizational and leadership skills Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts with the ability to make timely decisions on problems requiring immediate attention Demonstrate a commitment to provision of excellent care, advancing clinical skills and a passion for professional development Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all patient information
