QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
§ Must be able to start up a robotic platform from scratch doing the initial setup, calibration, I/O programming and communications set up.
§ Must be able to do full robot programming architecture, Main/Master jobs to final motion jobs. Verify program structure communications and handshaking with PLC programs, as well as programming as a stand-alone platform without a PLC.
§ Work with Engineering and Applications departments on developing new cell designs and quoting robot applications. Verify applicable robot options, need for new projects.
§ Must be able to read mechanical and electrical prints.
§ Close attention to detail is essential.
§ Good organizational skills
§ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
§ Must be very proficient, quick, and comfortable with personal computer navigation and operation.
§ Must be able to multi-task and always remain flexible.
§ Must be a team leader and able to motivate coworkers.
§ Self-Motivated.
Education and/or Experience: Requires an advanced knowledge of both mechanical and electrical assembly. Must be experienced in the work field and shown to be a good leader and manager.
§ 4 to 6 years Robotic and or PLC integration to manufacturing equipment experience.
§ Automated Systems Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting experience.
§ Robotic Offline Simulation programming experience.
§ Vision system integration to robotics and Automated equipment, Troubleshooting and programming of Vision.
§ 2 or 4-year degree in Electrical, Software development, or Mechanical Engineering
§ CAD and SolidWorks experience.
§ Robotic Offline Simulation programming experience

Responsibilities

§ Attends Kickoff meetings for the project assigned to. Will document any important information relayed from engineering to help the project succeed.
§ Manage and control all testing and run off documentation on the project. Service Tech should have a copy of the customer specifications, cycle time charts, breakdown of the quoted hours, and drawing packages from the Project Engineer and Systems Engineer.
§ Attend weekly project status meetings from the time of power on and debug, Working with Lead Man prepared with a presentation using the white board and communicating issues with engineering, resources, and other concerns with the project.
§ Prepare accurate estimates of work remaining with the assembly hours tracking sheet. Provide updated hours assessment at the project weekly status meeting.
§ Communicate daily with project managers on project status
§ Review material shortage list with expeditor to ensure components delivery aligns with the project schedule and milestones.
§ Manage assembly personnel to ensure efficiencies to the build and debug of the project. Be able to forecast manpower needs and maintain a hit list of remaining work.
§ Verify that assembly personnel are following customer specifications and using correct assembly practices
