The Rockwork Design team is responsible for the rockwork digital production design, technical integration of rockwork, and preparation of design drawings, details, and scope documents for the interior and exterior rockwork elements during the course of a specific project, land, or park including coordination of Architecture, Design & Engineering efforts with Creative, Show, Ride and construction trade partners.
You will report into the Manager of Rockwork Engineering.
This is a Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Strong communication skills and the desire to work in a collaborative team environment
• A minimum of 6 years of work experience in the production and use of 3D organic models, and hard surface models for entertainment, commercial or industrial projects.
• A minimum of 2 years managing a small team of structural or rockwork designers and designers in the production of structural documents, contract documents or 3D models for construction
• A strong foundation in sculpture, modeling and scenic design.
• Proficiency in the use of: AutoCAD and/or Revit, and Rhino

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Proficiency in the following preferred: Z-brush, Polyworks, 3DS Max, Geomagic Design X, and Navisworks
• Working knowledge in the following preferred: Grasshopper, BIM360
• High proficiency with polygon mesh manipulation, sculpting, and modeling.
• Working knowledge of model scanning techniques and files

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an accredited school with an Associate degree, technical certification in design, structural design or graduate of a non-accredited engineering school

• Digital rockwork model mesh sculpting and manipulation including rockwork creative and integration of show, facility, ride, structural and area development elements.
• Manage the rockwork mesh production, maintaining design intent, and producing complete construction design interfaces with consultant design requirements.
• Work with Creative studio team members to translate creative intent into 3D models.
• Rockwork model scanning
• Preparation of design drawings, details, and scope documents for rockwork elements.
