(SALARY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE)

The Senior Roofing Estimator role is a crucial and influential position within the Estimating team.
You will be responsible for winning commercial roofing orders in line with planned sales turnover, managing junior teams members, reporting on department projects, cash flow and gross profit targets.
Maguire Brothers is a highly reputable and extremely successful privately owned Main Contractor, specialising in roofing refurbishment across all specialisms of roofing, with over 40 years’ experience and a continuous record of growth and expansion.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROOFING ESTIMATOR

  • Robust experience in pitched and flat roof refurbishment/replacement.
  • Experience and contacts within the industry.
  • Presentable appearance with strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proven record of accomplishment in an Estimating role.
  • A full understanding of the legal and commercial elements of construction.
  • Ability to work within a team, as well as independently
  • To maintain a professional manner when on-site or in an office environment
  • Ambitious, target driven, commercial and seeking a long-term role

Responsibilities
  • Undertake site inspections and surveys, to accurately measure and understand project requirements.
  • Accurately undertake site drawings and take offs, providing advice and making recommendations based on clients’ needs
  • Identify project risks and opportunities and documenting these in advance of handover to operations teams
  • Manage junior team members and assist in their training and development
  • Identify cost saving and value engineering opportunities
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals, including inspection reports & recommendations, pre-qualifying questionaries and specification submissions.
  • Undertake and lead project handover meetings
  • Take every opportunity to build strong relationships with our clients including client visits
  • Reporting regularly on your performance against targets
