DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

Zenviron are currently seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a large-scale Wind Farm project in Central Queensland, on what will be an industry leading example when fully commissioned. This role will see you working on site, located 2 hours outside of Rockhampton, on a 2:1 FIFO or DIDO roster.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and coaching project personnel to successfully execute major construction projects in a challenging landscape;
  • Onboard major delivery subcontractors and ensure compliance with site safety rules and Company requirements;
  • Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure project safety, environment and technical specifications are adhered to;
  • Supporting Principal Contractor safety obligations onsite and identify any non-compliances
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality project documentation including management plans, SWMS, risk registers, investigations etc;
  • Supporting the delivery of HSE advice and services to the project, building effective partnerships with both client and subcontractor HSE teams, and providing hands on support where requiredReporting to the HSE Manager, delivery, and corporate teams to ensure effective functionality and support to operations including behavioural safety and culture improvement campaigns

What we are looking for:

  • Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety
  • 6-8 years’ experience in similar HSE site-based roles within the renewables / infrastructure or construction sector, ideally in mining and oil and gas
  • Incident investigation & Return to Work Coordinator experience
  • Well established knowledge of HSE legislation and industry standards with an in-depth knowledge of Principal Contractor duties
  • Formal training in incident investigation methodology (ICAM)
  • Intermediate user of MS Office Suite to accurately assemble, maintain and document quality records and accurate reports
  • Demonstrated proactive attitude toward HSE and procedural compliance
  • Well-developed written communication skills
  • Well versed in modern behavioural safety and culture-based programs
  • An easy-going nature and ability to work in a remote location
  • Drivers LicenceProof of right to work in Australia
