Senior Safety Engineer I    SUMMARY   Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Safety Engineer I that will be responsible for implementing Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites and ensuring a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors to the construction work site.    ** Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.   RESPONSIBILITIES  * Implement and administer safety programs at worksites, including site-specific safety activities and training programs  * Document and track safety violations, conduct safety audits, and analyze loss control data  * Lead OSHA reporting, monitor subcontractor activities, and review safety submittals  * Record, monitor, and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics  * Provide safety-related information, evaluate industrial hygiene concerns, and maintain knowledge of safety standards  * Serve as a resource for safety issues, attend safety meetings, and assist with major incident analysis  * Work with client safety personnel, union representatives, and insurance risk engineers  * Ensure maintenance and inspection of safety equipment and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels    QUALIFICATIONS  * Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent;   OR  * High school diploma with CHST Certification, OSHA 500, and a minimum of 10 years construction experience leading crews and planning work, to include at least six years as a dedicated construction safety professional responsible for managing project safety programs, conducting / reviewing hazard analyses and developing controls, conducting safety training, and planning work activities or equivalent experience in a relevant field  * Minimum of four years of construction safety experience  * Current valid driver’s license  * Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks  * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant safety software programs  * Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills  * Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively  * Willingness to travel up to 100%    A few benefits offered include:   (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)  * Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage   * Dental plan   * 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match   * Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves   * Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance   * No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources  * Tuition reimbursement   * Adoption Assistance    * Gym Membership Discount Program      **The base pay range for this role is $89,500 - $120,800.
