REPORTS TO THE HEAD OF OPERATIONS, CLIENT MARKET DEVELOPMENT

Following the Aztec Group’s expansion in products, capability and offices we now need to match the growth in opportunity with a growth in resources in order to continue winning mandates capable of delivering revenue.
The Head of Sales and Business Development Operations will be responsible for providing the right tools, technology, strategies, and services to deliver exceptional client service and future-proof our growing business. Working closely with the wider Business Development team and CMD as a whole, the role will ensure the correct sales infrastructure and support is in place regularly updated, and our methodology reflects lessons and insights learned to give us the best chance of winning in the market.
This role will involve travel to meet prospective clients and to other Aztec Group offices as required.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and optimize business development operations, streamlining processes, and driving strategic initiatives that maximise efficiency and bid conversion.
  • Support the Business Operations processes in the identification of market opportunities, strategic account planning, sales pursuits, cross and upselling, bid meetings, competitive intelligence, and lead generation initiatives across all Business Development functions to generate new business from existing and new clients.
  • Ensure the Sales infrastructure is readily accessible to the BD team providing standard and specific market information to complete day to day sales activities and enable bid creation.
  • Develop and enhance processes for effective client management.
  • Work with IT and third parties to manage the development and implementation of sales related technology including Salesforce CRM.
  • Focus on learning from experience to create and evolve a global sales approach that increases our win rate through key innovation and improvements.
  • Work with senior members of the Markets and BD team to adapt the sales methodology both to bids and client account management.
  • Identify and support markets and BD training needs across the business to provide continuous improvement and implement a consistent approach to winning business.
  • Provide data analysis internally and to clients to identify trends, monitor performance against KPI’s and influence decisions ongoing.
