Marshall’s Home Living is a Kelowna, BC based leader in the fine home furnishing retail industry, and we are looking for a friendly and customer service-oriented Senior Furniture Sales and Design Representative. This role will provide knowledge of merchandise to customers, explaining complex features and differences between merchandise and providing purchasing advice to customers, for both in-stock and custom order sales. You will help design or engage with a Designer to help customers make the best furniture purchase and help them make their home better.
While furniture or interior design experience is nice to have, it is not required. However, your past experience excelling in high-end retail environments developing relationships with high-end clients will position you well for success in this role. You will provide knowledge of merchandise to customers, explaining complex features and differences between merchandise and brands to help make your customer’s home better.

· Develop and maintain customer relationships in order to generate future sales opportunities both for retail customers and 3rd party interior designers
· Maintain knowledge of all vendor products, pricing, options, finishes, details etc.
· Determine client’s needs and provide knowledge of merchandise to customers, explaining complex features and differences between merchandise and providing purchasing advice to customers
· Assist in the maintenance, appearance, merchandising and pricing of store merchandise
· Cross sell products and know and understand the layout of the store
· Provide superior customer service and support to both interior designers and end users
· Meet or exceed monthly quarterly and annual sales targets
· Maintain updated customer information
· Elevate complaints to management when necessary
· Utilize computers to complete proposals, prepare sales agreements and obtain necessary information from customer to complete sales
· Submit customer orders by referring to price lists and product literature
· Promote sales to existing clients
· Identify and solicit potential clients
· Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates
· Prepare or oversee preparation of sales
· Consult with clients after sale or signed contracts to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
· Follow up with customers after the sale is completed
· Review and adapt to information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions
