YOUR MISSION:

We are currently seeking a Senior Sales & Business Development Manager to facilitate our market expansion and position Reflex as a prominent satellite manufacturer for both commercial and defense missions.

As a Senior Sales & Business Development Manager, your direct reporting line will be to the Chief Commercial Officer. You will play a vital role on the Commercial Team at Reflex. Regular and substantial interactions with internal stakeholders and potential external clients will be integral to your responsibilities. Your primary objectives will revolve around developing and implementing market-capture strategies, propelling growth, cultivating new business prospects, and successfully concluding business transactions.

  • New Business: Play a key role in identifying business cases, developing plans, and operationalizing the market strategy.
  • Drive Growth: Develop qualified leads into promising opportunities and be responsible for closing deals.
  • Grow the Network: Nurture existing relationships and develop new ones with relevant governmental, commercial, and institutional organizations across the market.
  • Write Winning Bids: Take responsibility for creating outstanding proposals for commercial, institutional, and defense tenders.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

We are looking for a self-starter with a strategic mindset and an in-depth knowledge of the European space industry, including current trends, policies, procurement processes, and regulatory frameworks. If you are adept in sales and keen on playing a key role in establishing Reflex as a major player in the global satellite market, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Attitude: The right mindset & personality for a satellite startup whose ambition is to shake up the industry.
  • Expertise: A solid technical understanding of satellites and their applications (e.g. SAR, Optical EO, ISR, SIGINT/ELINT), and know how to sell in a highly specialized niche market.
  • Your Network: Strong and established relationships with key stakeholders in government and intelligence agencies, defense organizations, and across the commercial space industry.
  • Relevant Work Experience: Significant experience in a sales or business development role, with an impressive track record in successfully closing complex deals and expanding market share.
  • Security Credentials: Citizenship from a NATO or EU country (non-negotiable requirement).
  • Location: Willingness to work from our Berlin office.

STRONG CANDIDATES ALSO POSSESS SKILLS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  • Prior security clearance credentials with government agencies in Europe.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in the space and defence industries
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with long-term company growth in mind.
  • Strong can-do (and want-to) attitude.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and writing) is a must, professional proficiency in German or French is an asset.
