  • 5+ years of sales/business development experience in construction (ACM panels, sheet metal, glazing, or building envelope systems).
  • Established network of industry contacts that can be leveraged immediately to bring in new work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to qualify and scope opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in submitting and winning bids, with a clear understanding of competitive budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering portals like BuildConnect
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven, independent, and entrepreneurial—able to bring business without being directed on where to go.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a custom sheet metal and architectural cladding company specializing in ACM panels, sheet metal panels, glazing systems, and full building envelope solutions.
We are seeking a Senior Sales & Business Development professional whose mandate is to win new accounts using their own network of industry contacts and the ability to independently evaluate and pursue tender opportunities. This is not a farming role—you will be expected to bring in new business and close deals.
Unlike a traditional “sales-only” position, this role requires technical and estimating capability: the ability to read architectural drawings, understand project scope, determine competitive bid budgets, and oversee submission of accurate proposals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverage your own network (architects, GCs, consultants, developers) to generate new project opportunities.
  • Identify and source tenders through BuildConnect and similar portals.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess scope and opportunity.
  • Determine competitive pricing strategies by evaluating labour, material, and subcontractor costs in collaboration with the estimating team.
  • Take ownership of the full bid process: finding tenders, preparing submissions, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Represent the company at site visits, pre-bid meetings, and industry events.
  • Negotiate contracts and close new deals.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline and deliver consistently against new business targets.
