Worker Sub-Type: Regular Job Description: As a Senior Sales Engineer within BlackBerry Secure Communications, you will play a critical role in driving growth across our Secure Communications portfolio. Acting as a trusted advisor to enterprise and government customers, you will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to translate complex secure communications challenges into high-impact, value-driven solutions. Outcomes & Impact: Lead consultative discovery discussions to uncover customer business, security, and compliance requirements Translate technical capabilities into business outcomes (risk reduction, cost avoidance, productivity gains) Engage confidently with senior stakeholders (CIO, CISO, CTO) to influence buying decisions Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned to customer use cases Lead Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Value (POV) engagements. Support deal strategy by aligning technical win criteria with commercial objectives Position BlackBerry Secure Communications solutions against competitors with clear differentiation (security pedigree, compliance strength, operational resilience) Anticipate and address technical objections throughout the sales cycle Enable and support strategic partners to scale solution adoption within key accounts Deliver technical enablement to partners and internal sales teams Success metrics: Contribution to regional revenue and deal win rates Conversion rate of POC/POV conversion rate to closed business Customer feedback and technical credibility (CSAT/feedback) Effectiveness of partner enablement and engagement Core requirements: 7+ years Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering experience in cybersecurity or enterprise software Strong understanding of Enterprise Mobility Management (UEM) and secure communications Experience supporting complex sales cycles (multi-stakeholder, high-value deals) Ability to align technical solutions to business and regulatory requirements Understanding of compliance-driven environments (e.g. government, finance, regulated industries) Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences Ability to work autonomously with strong prioritizayion and time management skills Collaborative mindset across sales, product, and partner ecosystems Experience with both cloud-delivered and on-premises solutions Additional/preferred requirements: Experience working with BlackBerry UEM or comparable Enterprise Mobility Management platforms (e.g., VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune, MobileIron) Strong understanding of device lifecycle management, including enrolment, policy enforcement, containerization, and secure remote wipe across iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows Understanding of encrypted voice and messaging communications, including end-to-end encryption architectures and secure call routing Knowledge of VoIP and SIP protocols, secure network infrastructure, and integration with existing enterprise telephony environments Experience with mass notification and crisis communication systems, including alert workflows, device reach, and multi-channel delivery (push, SMS, email, desktop, PA systems) Understanding of interoperable alerting solutions across organisational and agency boundaries, including government-to-government and government-to-public scenarios Strong understanding of PKI, identity management, and SSO/SAML/LDAP integrations as they apply across the BlackBerry portfolio Experience working with government or highly regulated industries English language skills #LI-NR1 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range: Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of expected base compensation for the position.
