JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Senior Sales Engineering role will support Account Executives in new and existing partner relationships, as well as direct business in order to grow revenue opportunities.
Rocket Software Sales Engineers are experienced technical professionals with an extensive enterprise software sales background who can successfully be the technical sales lead on software opportunities to progress and close business and must function well as a member of a dynamic team, while having the ability to also work independently to progress and close business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Easily relate to customer business challenges and provide clear, value-based solutions during sales engagements.
  • Draw on market and industry expertise to illustrate how Rocket Software can drive its customers strategical goals.
  • Deliver compelling software demonstrations to business and technical audiences from idea to creation through hands on technical work, leading ad hoc technical teams, and shaping and managing scope to tight deadlines.
  • Successfully plan, manage, and complete proof-of-concepts (PoC) that achieve business and sales objectives that are appropriately scoped, deliver on technical requirement proof points, and have a compelling result for stakeholders.
  • Handle objections professionally; answer questions quickly and coherently; deal with challenges confidently and persuasively whilst leaning on both commercial and technical expertise.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of IBM mainframe technology
  • Experience with Data Replication technologies
  • Excellent spoken and written English and German language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience of working with Cloud technologies as a data source/target
  • Database expertise
  • Understanding of mainframe security best practices
  • Previous experience in pre-sales
