As a result of internal promotion we now have an opportunity to recruit a Senior Sales Manager to join our Industrial team, covering North and West Europe, including the UK and Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, France and Spain. As Senior Sales Manager, you’ll take responsibility for leading our dedicated team to deliver across the North-West Europe region, dealing both directly with customers, as well as our partner organisations.
This role can be based anywhere within the above listed countries, and will regularly involve travel (up to circa 50%) to meet with customers, partner organisations, colleagues, and other Danfoss sites as required.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

To thrive as our new Senior Sales Manager, Industrial, we would expect you to demonstrate:

  • Degree qualification or similar in Engineering, Business, or similar related discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role working with direct and indirect channels within the hydraulic industry
  • People management experience within a sales organisation
  • Strong business acumen and strategy deployment
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills across all levels
  • Robust personal resilience and highly motivated team player with a strong personal drive
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Proven experience operating in a matrix organization

Responsibilities

As our new Senior Sales Manager, Industrial, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leadership & Growth: Provide overall leadership and drive sales growth across the region within our Industrial division.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for the Industrial division.
  • End-to-End Sales Management: Manage complete sales cycles, including planning, forecasting, prospecting, account planning, and pipeline management, while ensuring accurate reporting and forecasts.
  • Market Intelligence Analysis: Assess market potential using data-driven insights to define customer group targets and create growth-focused plans.
  • Profitability Optimization: Ensure business operations are within fixed expense frameworks while optimizing profitability.
  • Customer Experience: Enhance customer perception and experience by delivering on brand promises and driving corporate initiatives to achieve high Customer Loyal Index (CLI) scores.
  • Team Development: Strengthen the capabilities of account managers and engineers by providing tools, training, and resources to foster success.
  • Network Expansion: Establish executive-level relationships and connections with industry influencers to enhance brand presence and employer recognition in the market.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional value propositions and ensure alignment on strategies, forecasts, and processes.
